An ab wheel is an inexpensive piece of equipment that has been around for a while. It can be picked up here on Amazon. Ab wheel roll-outs are quite a difficult exercise. A full roll-out is done from a standing position all the way down to the floor. A standing roll-out is way too difficult for a beginner so we will focus on roll-outs from the knees.
To start, get on all fours with your hands on the ab wheel handles. Slowly begin to roll the wheel forward while keeping your abs contracted. Roll all the way out until your chin touches the floor. Try to keep your back as flat as possible. Keep your abs contracted and pull yourself back to the starting position. If this is still too difficult, use the wall to limit how far you can roll-out. Increase the distance from the wall each week until you can do a full roll-out from your knees.
